Visit campus
There's no better way to find out if a school is right for you than to visit in person. At the University of Alaska Fairbanks, we're excited to show you what we're all about. Let us show you all that UAF has to offer!
Visiting lets you:
- See the whole campus in action. Tour classrooms, the Student Recreation Complex, science buildings, West Ridge and the Wood Center. You can talk to students, staff and faculty about life at UAF and see if we're right for you.
- Check out facilities, extracurricular activities, student employment opportunities and more. Get the real scoop on living within the UAF community by visiting our residence halls.
- Get a sense of place. Discover how much there is to do on campus, in and around our small city, or on the millions of acres that surround us -- wherever your interests take you.
Listed below are a few of our campus visit options. For a complete schedule of events hosted by the Office of Admissions, visit our events calendar.
Daily campus tours
Tours depart daily at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. from the Office of Admissions. Tours generally last 1-1.5 hours and cover the lower and upper campus academic facilities, residence life and student life. Tours may be tailored to meet your interest. Bring walking shoes and weather appropriate attire.

What if you can't visit in person?
If you won't be able to visit the UAF campus in person, you can still get to know us. You might begin with a virtual tour of campus. Afterward, check out the student ambassadors website to see what it's like to study and play here. You'll also find out where they're from, what they're studying and why they chose UAF. If you have a question about life at UAF, you can even ask them directly!
Feel free to get in touch with one of our Admissions Counselors. We're glad to answer your questions and talk about what makes UAF America's Arctic university.
