Interim UA President Pat Pitney attended the November Staff Council meeting. President Pitney emphasized the importance of having three unique universities with different missions. Going forward UA is focused on preserving programs. The budget reduction will mean our programs are thinner, but the programs are why we do what we do. We have to focus on administrative savings and streamlining processes. Each of you probably have an extra job on your shoulders because somebody has left and not been refilled. Think about the tasks you do and analyze it going forward because we are going to have to not do certain things and do certain things differently and easier as we size down to a smaller footprint.
UA, UAA, UAF, and UAS will be holding expedited administrative management reviews this year. The process for UAF's expedited administrative management review is available on the chancellor's website.
