Students from the UAA and UAF departments of music will collaborate with a March 19 performance.

The UAA and UAF departments of music will collaborate on a live-streamed performance on March 19 at 7:30 p.m. “Unity, Diversity & Harmony: A Performance of Music Theater Excerpts,” is a collaboration between the UAA and UAF Opera Workshop Ensembles.

Directors Mari Hahn (UAA) and Jaunelle Celaire (UAF) have led undergraduate students from both campuses to put together this performance with scenes and music from “Hamilton,” “Hadestown,” “Dear Evan Hansen” and other musicals. Experience the power of music and theater through stories about overcoming challenges through community; understanding and sharing unity and harmony; and celebrating diversity.

The concert will be live-streamed on the UAF Department of Music YouTube Channel. This collaborative project was sponsored through the Faculty Initiative Fund and the UA Office of the President. Admission is free, but donations will be greatly appreciated.
