STEM education awards available through Alaska Space Grant

The Alaska Space Grant Program is accepting applications for STEM Education fellowship awards through Sept. 15, 2023. Students at Alaska institutions of higher education, doing a classroom practicum, pursuing a B.S. in elementary or secondary education, or graduate students pursuing an M.Ed. or M.A.T. are invited to apply.

STEM Education Fellowship Awards of $2,500 will be awarded through a competitive process. Awards support education projects fostering the vision of NASA by encouraging career goals in STEM disciplines, strengthening the nation’s STEM workforce and engaging Americans in NASA’s mission. Students are encouraged to incorporate NASA education materials in all classrooms including visual and performing arts, social studies, health and physical education, and the humanities. Students receiving awards in past competitions can apply and receive awards for subsequent competitions. Women, underrepresented minorities and people with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.

Applications are due Sept. 15, 2023.
