On June 4, the UA Board of Regents voted to establish the Alaska College of Education Consortium and independent schools of education at UAA, UAF and UAS.

At UAF, the School of Education will move out of the College of Natural Science and Mathematics and function as an independent school. The K-12 Outreach unit will report to SOE. More details and timelines are available in a memo from Provost Anupma Prakash (PDF).
