Join us for 2023 Giving Day!

Giving Day starts at 10 p.m. on Feb. 21 and runs for 49 hours through 10:50 p.m. on Feb. 23. We're inviting the entire UAF community to join us in participating in UA Giving Day 2023 so all of our alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends can directly support UAF.

Last year, about 750 alumni, donors and supporters took the time to give a combined $664,000 to support students and programs at UAF, and with challenges available this year, we could supersize our donations to support even more programs and research vital to the community and state.

A new challenge to consider supporting this year will benefit UAF’s top fundraising priority. When 149 people make a gift to the Troth Yeddha’ Indigenous Studies Center it will unlock a collective gift of $30,000 from Heather Kendall-Miller and Lloyd Miller and the Legacy Committee.

In addition, Chancellor White is offering to make a $5,000 donation to the UAF fund that gets the most gifts during Giving Day. There are also several challenges that will unlock more than $15,000 for UAF when alumni make a gift. Visit the website to see the areas of donation and a breakout of the various challenges posted to supersize your gift.

UA Giving Day 2023 is a collaborative effort between the University of Alaska Foundation and Alaska’s three universities. It is an opportunity to encourage the community to come together in a show of support for the University of Alaska. Donations of all sizes are welcome.

The UA Giving Day website,, has tools for champions to help share the event through digital and social media channels. The website will track overall dollars and donors generated during UA Giving Day, as well as gifts to schools and colleges, programs and designated funds. Posts about UA Giving Day across social media channels using the hashtag #49HoursForAlaska will be featured on the site.

Please consider donating to a program or challenge important to you, and signing up as a UAF champion to maximize our support for Giving Day 2023!
