Kimberly (Kim) Cox has been selected as the new director of the University of Alaska Fairbanks Office of Grants and Contracts Administration (OGCA). Cox’s first day was Aug. 15, 2022.

OGCA is a vital part of UAF’s research administration team under the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research. Cox is a 30-plus-year employee of UAF and has spent the majority of her career as an executive officer for finance and administration. Cox steps into her role as the director of OGCA, leaving behind her executive officer position with the International Arctic Research Center.

As the director, Cox will lead the OGCA team in its mission to "add value at UAF by serving faculty and staff through transparent and efficient processes that facilitate research and other sponsored activities," while striving to fulfill OGCA’s vision to "promote a culture of accountability, responsibility, and transparency by providing excellence in service, valuing collaborations, creativity, and consistency by creating an enriching environment to facilitate research and other sponsored activities."

Cox brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from the department side of research, and we look forward to building a stronger support system for our growing research. You can now find the Office of Grants and Contracts Administration on Central Campus in the Lathrop building, rooms 201 and 202. Please note this new location.
