Camp planned for teen 4-H leaders in Sitka

Sitka Spruce Tips 4-H is holding a two-day training camp for teens interested in serving as youth leaders and counselors at one or more 4-H camps this summer.

Sitka 4-H True Leaders camp, hosted by the University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Office in Sitka, is May 27-28 from 1-6 p.m. The free training is designed to be a fun bonding experience. It includes a ropes course, escape room and ice-cream making. Teens will also learn age-appropriate games for youth and behavior management. 

Open to teens in 7th grade and older. Locations to be determined.
