Vote for Nanooks student section name

Fans can have their say in naming the Alaska Nanook student section in the stands at all
home athletic events, including those at the Patty and Carlson centers.
The men's hockey team and the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity are in charge of the process,
which will be done in two phases.
First, fans may nominate names by Sept. 27. Examples offered by the organizers include The
Cave, The Den, The Igloo and The Polar Vortex.
The top five to 10 nominations, as judged by a committee, will be released at the
Blue and Gold hockey game on Sept. 27. At that point, the voting will begin.
The final decision will be released at the first Nanook home hockey game on Oct. 3.
