From March 21 through April 24, students, faculty and staff are invited to submit their invention disclosures to the UAF Office of Intellectual Property and Commercialization for the chance to win prize money. Prizes include first, second and third place overall, plus a student award.

Each applicant is encouraged to attend the Invent Alaska Primer at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 24, in the International Arctic Research Center, 401 Akasofu Building. This meeting will outline the competition and judging criteria.

The deadline for entries is Monday, April 25. Winners will be announced Friday, May 6, at a ceremony in the Wood Center.

Applicants should meet with Mark Billingsley, OIPCs' intellectual property and contracts director, for detailed information on how to submit a successful disclosure. You can schedule a meeting by calling 474-2626 or by emailing uaf-oipc@alaska.edu.
