Why is the snack vending machine in the Nook empty?

There have been several questions regarding the stocking of the vending machines over the last year +, so I'll add to it — why is the snack vending machine in the Nook empty? If the current contractor can't seem to keep the vending machines stocked, will the university consider going to a new vendor?
