Uher appointed acting dean for CRCD

Bryan Uher was appointed acting dean for the College of Rural and Community Development by Evon Peter, vice chancellor for rural, community and native education, effective July 1, 2019. He will continue as director of the Interior Alaska Campus during this temporary appointment.

Kevin Illingworth, who has been serving as the College of Rural and Community Development’s interim dean this past year, will return to his faculty position.

Uher has over 17 years of experience in key leadership positions on the Fairbanks campus. He holds a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Alaska Southeast, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in rural development and an Associate of Applied Science degree in applied business from UAF.

Uher was born in Anchorage and raised in Trapper Creek, located at mile 115 of the Parks Highway. He enjoys outdoor activities, building furniture and making birch tree-themed wall hangings.
