UAF to host celebration day for new students

The University of Alaska Fairbanks will host a day of food, fun and prizes on June
14 to celebrate students who have decided to attend UAF.
New Admit Day will include a welcome reception at the Wood Center, a student success
fair, campus tours, and tips for students of all ages and their family members about
making a successful transition to college. The day will conclude with ice cream, scholarship
giveaways, and a chance to meet with university deans and people from eSports, Nanook
Recreation, KSUA radio, student government, and the study away and leadership programs.
Prospective students who haven’t been admitted to UAF are also welcome. The admission
fee will be waived for those who attend New Admit Day.
