UAF students sweep state Chinese language competition

Four UAF students who are studying Chinese swept a March 24 Chinese language proficiency contest administered by the Confucius Institute at UAA. The top two winners — Abigail Myers and Kiara O’Neill — will advance to the regional competition in San Francisco May 13.

  • Second place: Kiara O'Neill (electrical engineering)

  • Third place: Surachana Aramrux (political science)

  • Fourth place: Alana Kilby (English)
