The Fairbanks chapter of the UAA Student Nurses Association will hold a bone marrow registry event Feb. 20-24 at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

People from ages 18 to 60 in generally good health are encouraged to attend the drive and fill out a short questionnaire. Student nurses will take a sample of cheek cells with a cotton swab to determine tissue type. That information will be added to the Be The Match registry and will be used to match potential donors with patients. No blood draw or extraction of marrow is needed at this event.

The schedule follows:

• Monday, Feb.  20, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Wood Center
• Tuesday, Feb.  21, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Wood Center
• Wednesday, Feb.  22, 2 – 6  p.m. at the Wood Center
