UAF Fairbanks campus construction continues
August 22, 2017
Several construction projects are continuing into the semester that will affect access
to building entrances. Please watch for construction vehicles and avoid staging areas
if possible. Download and share this map that provides details on how to access affected buildings.
Signers' Hall and Eielson Building parking lots
The following parking lots will be closed Saturday, Aug. 26, and Sunday, Aug. 27,
from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. for painting:
- Signers 3A
- West Eielson 3B
- South Eielson 3C
Wood Center roof replacement
Construction through September 2017
The Wood Center copper roof is being replaced, and a new skylight and clerestory windows
on the west side of the roof have been installed. Contractors are replacing the deck
roofing on the east side of the building.
Regents' Great Hall sprinkler replacement
Construction through November 1
There is no access to the Great Hall during the construction project. Access to the
building is on the north and east sides. See the map for access to Davis Concert Hall,
KUAC, and Art and Music departments.
Engineering facility
Construction continues through December 2017, but students are expected to have classes
in the new building next semester.
Combined heat and power plant
Work on the combined heat and power plant will run through November 2018.
