The Fairbanks North Star Borough's Early Childhood Development Commission recently recognized three UAF departments as family friendly workplaces. UAF departments swept the awards for public sector employers, with recognition going to UAF Nanook Recreation (1-10 employees), the Bursar's Office (11-25 employees), and the College of Rural and Community Development (more than 25 employees).

The annual awards recognize employers that help employees balance work and family responsibilities.
