The National Council for Marketing and Public Relations honored the Community & Technical College with two district awards for its efforts to recruit students and publicize the college in 2013.

Karen Wilken, marketing & publications manager of CTC's Marketing and Outreach Department, accepted the awards at the NCMPR District Seven “Medallion Awards” dinner in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho on Oct. 24.

CTC won a gold medallion for a “Summer at CTC” poster and a silver for the design and layout of the Fall 2013 Course Catalog.

CTC's Marketing Department, which provides a variety of marketing services to the college, includes Wilken, manager/designer; Vicky Lovell, production assistant; and Kelly Wilson, community outreach coordinator.

NCMPR represents marketing and public relations professionals at community and technical colleges in the United States and Canada. District Seven of NCMPR includes Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and the Canadian provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Yukon Territory.
