UAF's 90th graduation ceremony will be held at the Carlson Center in Fairbanks at 1 p.m., Sunday, May 13. The ceremony will be viewable via webcast during the ceremony.

National Endowment for the Humanities chairman Jim Leach will give the keynote address.

Graduating student Jordan Kathleen Culver will be the student speaker. Culver is a degree candidate for a BA in Justice.



Honorary degree recipients will be:

  • Jim Leach, honorary doctor of laws degree

  • Danny Pierce, honorary doctor of fine arts degree

  • H. Robin Samuelson Jr., honorary doctor of laws degree


Meritorious service award winners will be:

  • Patty Kastelic

  • Bob Uhl

  • Carrie Uhl
