UA salary information released to Sun Star

The university released employee salary information on May 1 to the Sun Star campus newspaper on the UAF campus. Under state law and university policies, certain
employee information is public. This information release included all employees except
student employees.
The information released is limited to:
- Employee name
- Position title, grade and step
- Salary
- Department and/or campus
- Initial hire date
- Full-time/ part-time status
Last year the Sun Star created a searchable online database for the public to access information about employee compensation at the university. This records release will be used to update that database. The Sun Star database is located at www.uafsunstar.com/
While there is no option to opt-out of this release of information, be assured that, aside from the public information detailed above, confidential personnel files will remain so.
