University Relations

The UAF Center for Innovation, Commercialization, and Entrepreneurship Seed Fund is seeking proposals from UA-affiliated researchers to perform research and development of technologies that have commercial potential. The support may be used as seed funding to develop an early stage idea, or it may be used as gap funding for ideas that need a bridge to reach greater commercial viability. Students, staff and faculty can apply, and proposals from all disciplines are welcome.

There is no deadline to submit a proposal. Proposals may be submitted anytime and will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Funding will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Center ICE Seed Fund has a mission of increasing the social and economic impact of Arctic research. For more information on the Center ICE Seed Fund, please contact Peter Webley at pwwebley@alaska.edu. The seed fund opportunity is funded with support from the Office of Naval Research.
