U.S. census data workshop

October 7, 2019

Carla Browning

The U.S. Census 2020 is gearing up to collect data that is crucial for planners, grant writers, nonprofits, large and small organizations, and state and local governments. Data dissemination specialist Kimberly Davis helps make sure individuals can access this publicly available data and use it to analyze business models, develop nonprofit organizations, organize local events or just get to know their home communities.

Davis, who works for the U.S. Census Bureau, will present a workshop on finding and using census data from 1:15 - 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, in the BP Design Theater.

Participants will learn about the types of data the Census Bureau produces and where to locate census demographic data on census.gov using various tools. Learn how the data will help with reports, research and other projects.

All are welcome, but seating is limited. Please sign up on this Google form. For more information email Carla Browning at cjbrowning@alaska.edu.
