The University of Alaska Fairbanks will host a free public lecture on Wednesday, Oct. 3, with Tyrone Bledsoe, founder and CEO of the Student African American Brotherhood Organization.

The lecture, “Saving Lives, Salvaging Dreams,” will run from 5:30–7:30 p.m. in Schaible Auditorium on the Fairbanks campus. Bledsoe will speak about the challenges faced by men of color in secondary and postsecondary education and how schools, colleges and universities can help provide systems that support them in meeting their educational and professional goals.

The Student African American Brotherhood is a national organization that aims to enhance the experiences of men of color in high school and postsecondary education.
