TRiO Day will be celebrated Feb. 18

UAF Student Support Services will celebrate TRiO Day on Feb. 18, 2014 from 3:30 p.m.
to 5 p.m. at the Wood Center multilevel lounge.
TRiO Day is an annual, national celebration honoring high-achieving TRiO students,
TRiO supporters and successful TRiO alumni.
TRiO programs, established by the federal government beginning in the 1960s, provide
services for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
The annual TRiO Day brings awareness to the programs at UAF and the challenges faced
by low-income, first-generation and disabled students seeking a college education.
Refreshments will be provided.
