Training in the protection of minors at UAF is required for all employees and must be completed by Dec. 31, 2014.

Chancellor Brian Rogers signed the protection of minors policy in May 2013. The policy requires training on how to report suspected abuse.

Two training sessions are available online at www.uaf.edu/safety/training/:

  • The awareness training is being provided by United Educators. Instructions on how to log onto this training are provided on the training website. There is no quiz, but questions are posed to participants as they work through the training.

  • The policy and reporting training is UAF-specific and requires a review of both the policy and reporting procedures. It also includes a 12-question quiz. A 100 percent score is necessary to complete the training.
