Geography candidate offers presentations

Philip Bonnaventure, candidate for physical geography professor at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, will present a research seminar Wednesday, May 7, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Murie Building auditorium. The topic is "Modeling the Spatial Extent of Permafrost Change in High Latitude Environments."

Bonnaventure earned his doctorate in in geography at the University of Ottawa and is a postdoctoral research fellow at Queen's University.

His teaching seminar will be  Thursday, May 8, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in  the Murie auditorium. It will be an introduction to physical geography.

Bonnaventure is the third candidate for the position to visit the Fairbanks campus.
