Arctic Broadband Forum planned for Arctic week

The Arctic Broadband Forum will unite educators, researchers and industry from across the world to discuss the challenges, successes and potential of telecommunications and broadband deployment in the Arctic for economics, health care and education. The forum will run May 8-9, 2017, as part of the Week of the Arctic activities taking place on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus and throughout the Fairbanks community.

This forum will emphasize the role of broadband and digital technologies in the cultural preservation and self-determination of indigenous populations throughout the Arctic. For more information, email coordinators or call 450-8380.
