Temporary detour on North Chandalar and Yukon drive

Facilities Services will be repairing the crosswalk lights located on the corner of North Chandalar and Yukon drive Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Crews will need to detour traffic during this time. The detour will allow us to make repairs and energize the embedded crosswalk lights of the North Wood Center crosswalk.

• Traffic will be diverted up North Chandalar to Kobuk Ave.


• There will be no excavating; in case of a fire call Facilities Services will be able to quickly remove the barriers to allow access to the fire lane.


• Duration of the detour depends on what issues are found.


• The road will be re-opened from 11:30 a.m. through 1 p.m. for lunch traffic.
