TEK Talks: Working with Indigenous people

A new lecture series geared toward scientists to help foster an understanding of how to respectfully engage Indigenous people within research will begin Monday, Oct. 26. The talk will take place from noon to 1 p.m.

The speaker for the first TEK Talk (tradition ecological knowledge) is co-host and interdisciplinary Ph.D. student Margaret Rudolf, with the International Arctic Research Center. She will provide an introduction to the lecture series and talk about cross-cultural miscommunication.

The series is hosted by the Geophysical Institute Graduate Student Association.
