The University of Alaska Museum of the North will offer its monthly program for teens, ARTSci Teen Studio, beginning Saturday, Oct. 20.

Each month's program runs from 2-4 p.m. on a Saturday and offers a new theme that explores the connections between art and science. This month's theme will focus on the northern forest. Participants will collect natural objects, view paintings by Gail Priday and create their own artwork.

Teen Studio is open to 13- to 18-year-olds and is free with museum admission. Pre-registration is required. Teens can sign up for one studio or the whole series. To register or for more information, visit bit.ly/uamnteenstudio or call 907-474-7505.
