Technology outage scheduled for Dec. 29-30, 2014

The Office of Information Technology has scheduled a planned outage starting at 10
p.m. on Monday, Dec. 29, to conduct maintenance. The six-hour exercise will result
in outages to the UA website, UAOnline, Google Apps logins, Blackboard, Banner and
other systems.
OIT recommends setting up an alternate login to access your Google Apps @ UA email
account during this outage. Simply set up a Google-side password before the outage
by following the procedure at https://www.alaska.edu/google/password-change/. This password is different from the one you use to access Google Apps with an Internet
browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox.
