University Relations

Did you know that the University of Alaska provides all current students and staff their own license for Office 365?

If you’d like to claim your license, type portal.office.com into your browser, then type in your UA email address and click “next”.

Then enter your UA password, the same one you use for UAonline, Blackboard, and all our other services. Click “Sign in” and you’ll now have access to all of the features of Office 365, right from your preferred browser. Don’t always have access to the internet? No sweat! Click the “Install Office” button at the top right corner and then “Office 365 apps” to download the entire Office 365 package to your computer.

Office 365 contains the popular Office programs, like Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, all for free. If you’re an avid Office user, OIT recommends saving your homework in OneDrive. OneDrive is a cloud storage service that can hold as much as five terabytes of data, completely free.

Questions? As always, your OIT Service Desk is here to help: 907-450-8300; toll-free, 800-478-8226; or helpdesk@alaska.edu.
