Teaching Tip: Adding synchronous strategies to a distance course

Flexibility is often a factor for students taking distance courses. Being able to attend class wherever and/or whenever can be a huge benefit for nontraditional students in particular, but integrating synchronous activities into an online class can often help with engagement.
