Sweet Summer Deal lets students earn 14 credits for price of 10

If you register for 14 undergraduate credits at UAF this summer and you successfully apply for the Sweet Summer Deal, you will pay tuition for only 10 credits. The university will cover the rest of the cost.
There's a bonus. If you take advantage of the Sweet Summer Deal and are living in campus housing, UAF Residence Life will reduce your summer housing cost by $100 per Sweet Summer Deal credit up to a maximum of $400.
Who is eligible for the Sweet Summer Deal?
Any student with a minimum of a 2.0 GPA (cumulative and current semester) who is registered for more than 10 eLearning and/or Summer Sessions undergraduate credits during Summer 2014 can apply for the Sweet Summer Deal. This deal does not require that you be a degree-seeking student at UAF or have evidence of financial need.

Sounds great! What's the catch?
Ah yes, the catch. So your application has been approved; now you must complete all your summer courses with a minimum of a C grade (2.0) in each course by Aug. 15.
What happens if you don’t meet that requirement?
You will be charged for the tuition credits covered by the Sweet Summer Deal. If you also took advantage of the housing discount offered by Residence Life, you will need to repay that amount by Aug. 28. If you withdraw from your classes, all funds provided by the Sweet Summer Deal must be repaid within five days of the withdrawal date.
When and how do I apply? Is there a deadline?
You can apply as soon as you have registered for your classes. Complete the online application by May 20. When your application is reviewed, you will receive an email from Summer Sessions indicating whether you have been approved for the Sweet Summer Deal.
