The Review of Infrastructure, Sustainability and Energy Board is accepting applications for new members.

Two student positions, one faculty position and one UAF community member (staff, faculty or student) position on the board are currently available. Positions are filled as they come open, and applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

The RISE Board was established in 2009 to oversee the spending of the Student Sustainability Fee. Each semester, students taking 6 or more credits pay the $20 fee. The funds are matched by the chancellor and spent on developing and supporting projects submitted every semester by students. The RISE Board has successfully funded and implemented more than 60 projects.

If you are interested in having a say in how the sustainability fee is spent, please apply for the RISE Board by going to https://www.uaf.edu/sustainability/rise/RiseApp-form-5-2-14.pdf.
