Summer Visual Art Academy registration open

The Art Department is accepting registrations for the Summer Visual Art Academy, this year taking place June 6 - 17. Young artists in grades 6 – 12 can participate
as full-time students taking four classes daily or as half-time students taking two
classes daily. The faculty are professional Alaskan artists teaching classes in animation,
cartooning, ceramics, computer art, digital photography, drawing, metalsmithing, painting,
printmaking and sculpture. Young at art, a photo essay by Andrew Cassel in the latest Aurora magazine, features highlights from last years' Visual Art Academy.
