BugsStudents in grades 3-6 can learn about Alaska's diverse insects and how they survive during the winter in a science and art camp during the holidays.

The camp will be held daily 9 a.m.-noon Dec. 26-30 at the University of Alaska Museum of the North Creativity Lab. The cost is $200.

Campers will explore the museum’s insect collection and build their own collections to take home. Each day will feature a short field trip outdoors to study bug habitat around the museum. The students will also create insect artwork to celebrate the magic of these tiny animals.

Kathryn Daly and Jayce Williamson will lead the camp, which is sponsored by UAF Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning.
