The Alaska Dreaming program created by UAF Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning has received the 2016 Creative and Innovative Award from the North American Association of Summer Sessions.

Alaska Dreaming, now in it's third year, is a summer recruitment tool. Students from outside of Alaska who take two Summer Sessions courses at UAF are eligible to receive a free round-trip ticket from Seattle.

The self-supported program has generated revenue and credit hours from students who would otherwise not consider studying at UAF. The program's motto is "Come for the summer, stay to finish your degree."
