Successful 'Forget the Fine' food drive

The Office of the Bursar, the Office of Sustainability and ASUAF would like to thank the UAF community for participating in this year’s food drive. UAF donated more than 1,200 nonperishable food items, or approximately 1,000 pounds of food. The food was distributed between the UAF Wood Center food pantry, Bread Line Inc. and the Fairbanks Community Food Bank.
The Wood Center food pantry provides up to one bag of food per week to hungry UAF students.
The Fairbanks Community Food Bank, a local nonprofit organization, offers several assistance programs that distribute food to those in need across the community.
Bread Line Inc. is also a local nonprofit organization that serves people with food insecurity through four programs, including Stone Soup Café, Stone’s Throw, Stone Soup Garden and Kids Café.
