Student services, advancement merge

Student services and advancement at UAF  have merged, creating a new unit, University and Student Advancement, that encompasses recruitment and marketing, student life and records, alumni, athletics, KUAC, fundraising and public relations.


Mike Sfraga, who formerly led the student services unit, will serve as the new vice chancellor for university and student advancement. In addition to overseeing all of student services, he will oversee the units that were led by vice chancellor Jake Poole, who retired at the end of June.


Kris Racina, who was most recently UAF’s human resources director, will serve as associate vice chancellor of the new unit: University and Student Advancement. Brad Lobland will serve as interim director of Human Resources.
