The Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarly Activity, or URSA, is offering up to $2,500 for individuals (or up to $5,000 for groups of two or more students) conducting research or creative projects during the 2021 fall semester. Applications must be received by Sunday, June 13.

Degree-seeking undergraduate students taking at least 6 credits that semester are invited to apply. Students can be in any year, from any major or discipline. Projects do not need to be in the student’s degree program. Funds can be used for a stipend, travel (for fieldwork, pending COVID-19 restrictions), tuition, as well as supplies and/or services. Please visit URSA's Student Project Awards for details on eligibly criteria.

Students need an idea and a faculty (or graduate student) mentor. URSA can help connect students, discuss ideas and answer questions. URSA also allows students to look at successfully funded project applications.

Interested students should contact URSA at 450-8772 or ursa.uaf@alaska.edu.

Apply online by Sunday, June 13.
