Student ambassador program

Selection into the UAF Student Ambassador Program is one of UAF’s most esteemed leadership
honors. Ambassadors are leaders on campus who exemplify what it means to be a Nanook.
They know and share UAF’s values, history, and mission with community members, prospective
students and alumni. The application process is open. Staff, faculty and students
are encouraged to nominate a student leader for this position.About the position:
• Ambassadors actively engage with the community of Fairbanks, UAF and prospective students interested in attending UAF.
• Ambassadors lead tours, chat with students online, and participate in high school visits and college fairs
• Ambassadors are profiled in admissions marketing publications and on the web.
Criteria:
• Ambassadors must be full time, have a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher
• Must love UAF and want to work with the community and future Nanooks
Benefits to the ambassadors:
• Scholarship opportunities for Ambassadors only
• The opportunity to network and mingle with alumni, community members, and prospective students
• Public speaking and presentation skill development
