Student ambassador program

UAF Student Ambassadors Selection into the UAF Student Ambassador Program is one of UAF’s most esteemed leadership honors. Ambassadors are leaders on campus who exemplify what it means to be a Nanook. They know and share UAF’s values, history, and mission with community members, prospective students and alumni. The application process is open. Staff, faculty and students are encouraged to nominate a student leader for this position.

About the position:

• Ambassadors actively engage with the community of Fairbanks, UAF and prospective students interested in attending UAF.

• Ambassadors lead tours, chat with students online, and participate in high school visits and college fairs

• Ambassadors are profiled in admissions marketing publications and on the web.

Criteria:

• Ambassadors must be full time, have a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher

• Must love UAF and want to work with the community and future Nanooks

Benefits to the ambassadors:

• Scholarship opportunities for Ambassadors only

• The opportunity to network and mingle with alumni, community members, and prospective students

• Public speaking and presentation skill development
