Theatre UAF will present the play “Stop Kiss,” written by Diana Son and directed by Carrie Baker, in the Salisbury Theatre from Friday, Oct. 30, through Sunday, Nov. 8.

“Stop Kiss” tells the love story of Callie and Sara, whose first kiss leads to a violent attack. Their journey together is told on stage by seniors Katrina Kuharich and Sierra Trinchet.

This play is R-rated for adult language, implied partial nudity and implied violence. Attendees must be at least 18 years old.

Baker is associate professor of theater and acting at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. She directed Theatre UAF’s "Speech & Debate" in 2013 and "The Laramie Project" in 2008.

After the 2 p.m. performance Nov. 1, a panel will discuss LGBT issues raised in the play. The panel will have representatives from PFLAG (formerly Parents, Friends and Families of Lesbians and Gays), the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Fairbanks, Green Dot and UAF.

All performances will be in the Lee H. Salisbury Theatre in the Fine Arts Complex on the Fairbanks campus. Seating is limited.
