Staff Recognition and Development Day date

Please consider changing the date of Staff Appreciation Day. I know it has been asked before of Staff Council, but it always falls on the day grades are due. As an admin I spend most of the day making sure my faculty have turned in grades or dealing with last minute Change of Grades. I imagine that other offices have the same issue. Why have Staff Appreciation Day on a day that is a deadline in which not ALL staff can attend? It is quite frustrating too and doesn't help already low morale when you purposefully segregate a portion of staff whose duties do not allow them to attend.
