SRC employee membership fee

The SRC membership fee for faculty and staff is currently double the student membership
fee. I am curious to know if reducing the staff/faculty membership fee ($155/semester)
for the SRC has been considered in order to generate more membership.
I know the SRC is in need of revenue, especially to repair much of the outdated equipment
and to fix the building structure. I would be interested to know how much of faculty
and staff use the facility, and if a reduction in the rate would inspire more of them
to sign up and use the facility, thus generating revenue. Currently students pay $75
a semester automatically, and faculty and staff should not necessarily have to pay
more than students do to enter and use the facility. Would this ever be a possibility?
I suspect it would be a positive move going forward, especially if a collaboration
with the wellness rebate program were possible.
