UAF will celebrate SpringFest Thursday, April 28 – Saturday, April 30, at various locations on the UAF campus.
The annual event celebrates the arrival of spring in Alaska's Interior with competitions,
concerts and barbecues for the campus community.
The weekend’s events:
Thursday
- Noon – 2 p.m. — Kickoff barbecue at Wood Center (must have a PolarExpress card)
- 1:05 p.m. — Dance-off at Wood Center
- 1:45 p.m. — Watermelon drop at Wood Center
- 8 p.m. — Frisbee golf tournament, first hole next to MacIntosh Hall
- 10 p.m. — Movie, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, at Hess Rec Center
Friday — no classes
- 10 a.m. — SpringFest Service, meets at Wood Center Lounge
- Noon — Mud volleyball at the Nenana parking lot
- 8 p.m. — Aesop Rock & MURS live in concert at Beluga Field
- 10 p.m. — Student Recreation Center Latenighter at the SRC and Patty Ice Arena
Saturday
- 2 p.m. — Field Day at Beluga Field (must have a PolarExpress card)
- 2 p.m. — Quidditch Tournament at Beluga Field
- 3 p.m. — Rugby Tournament at Beluga Field
