The UAF Office of Grants and Contracts offers training in the use of InfoEd's Sponsored Programs Information Network.

SPIN is the most widely used funding opportunity database in the world. Nearly 500 institutions subscribe to the web-based search engine. Researchers  use SPIN as their one-stop-shop for identifying a wide range of grant programs. Effectively using this tool could also help UAF researchers to diversify their grant funding sources.

Program information is presented in a standard format that allows investigators to readily compare opportunities. There are currently more than 40,000 funding opportunities from more than 10,000 sponsors around in the system. SPIN is available to UAF faculty and students.
