Snow, snow everywhere

The snow is finally here, and it's come all at once! Facilities Services is already at work removing snow from key areas such as stairs, major walkways and roadways, and accessibility ramps and parking areas. Please be patient as the crews work to get to all areas on the Fairbanks campus as quickly as possible.

If you find an area on campus that appears to be unsafe, please send your request to snowremoval@fs.uaf.edu. Your request will go directly to the employee servicing that particular area. Please be sure to include your name and number so someone can contact you for more information.

For further information, please call the Facilities Services customer service center at 474-7000.

As always, be sure to have enough warm clothing in your vehicle, along with safety equipment such as flares, a snow brush and a small shovel. Drive safely, allow plenty of time to reach your destination and enjoy the snow!
