Small business workshop begins Nov. 7

The Small Business Development Workshop, a six-part series providing assistance with starting a small business, begins Monday, Nov. 7 and runs through Monday, Dec. 12. The workshop takes place from noon – 1 p.m. every Monday in room 311, UAF Community and Technical College, 604 Bartlette St.


The cost is $50 for the series or $10 for each session, and students can attend for free. Payment must be cash or check only. Funds from the workshop assist UAF Students In Free Enterprise with projects across the state and overseas.

  • Nov. 7 – Intro to Business Planning: Adam Krynicki, intellectual property and commercialization specialist, UAF

  • Nov. 14 – Business Operations: Heather Heineken, training and outreach coordinator, Yukon Accounting and Consulting

  • Nov. 21 – Financials/Bookkeeping: Paul Robinson, president, Robinson and Associates PC

  • Nov. 28 – Market Analysis: Jim McDermott, UAF professor and faculty advisor, SCORE counselor

  • Dec. 5 – Cash-Flow Budgeting: Paul Robinson, president, Robinson and Associates PC

  • Dec. 12 – Executive Summary: Charlie Dexter, CTC program director and professor
