Interested in having a gardening plot conveniently located on the UAF campus? Have a bunch of seeds you want to trade or barter for other seeds? Curious about how to start seeds and amend soil, or which plant varieties are hardy enough for Alaska?

If so, come to the 2016 Growing Season Spring Kick-Off Meeting for the UAF Campus Community Garden from 6-8 p.m. April 14 in the Murie Building auditorium.

From 6 to 6:30 p.m., Steve Seefeldt of the UAF Cooperative Extension Service will talk about starting seeds, amending soil and growing Alaska-hardy plant varieties.

At 6:30 p.m., the annual garden meeting and general information session will begin. The program also will include plot sign-up and payment (cash or check), and a seed swap.
